• Upgrade to PhD (from MPhil)
  • 9-18 months (full-time), 15-30 months (part-time)
  • report (work plus timetable to PhD), upgrade viva
• Transferable skills training (\(\geq 20\) points per year)
  • Doctoral School courses: writing, presenting, IT …
  • workshops, languages, teaching, committee work, seminars (attending/giving), conference attendance
• Research Integrity Training: Please do it when requested

• Departmental Seminars (1 skills point per term)
• 6 month research progress report
  • research topic, literature review, research plan and tentative timetable
  • meet to discuss with both/all supervisors
• Advanced statistical training
  • (normally) do 4 LTCC courses (or equivalent …)
  • APTS, NATCOR, audit MSc courses,
  • discuss with your supervisor(s) now
  • this is not transferable skills training

• Discuss LTCC (or similar) courses with your supervisor
